Ascensia Diabetes Care today announced that they will be attending the 9th International Conference on Advanced Technologies & Treatments for Diabetes (ATTD) later this week. The ATTD 2016 has been chosen as the first global conference where Ascensia Diabetes Care will be present since the close of the sale of the Diabetes Care business from Bayer AG to Panasonic Healthcare Holdings Co., Ltd., which was announced on 5 January 2016. The ATTD is taking place on 3-6 February 2016 in Milan, Italy.
Ascensia Diabetes Care has chosen this conference as the first opportunity to present the new stand-alone company to the clinical community and showcase its dedication and commitment to the care of people with diabetes. It will use the ATTD to present their high quality solutions and tools, including the world renowned CONTOUR® portfolio of blood glucose monitoring systems. Ascensia Diabetes Care will be present at Booth 10 in the Exhibition Area.
"We are very excited to be attending our first global diabetes conference as Ascensia Diabetes Care and are looking forward to presenting our new company to clinicians and researchers from around the world," said Michael Kloss, Global CEO of Ascensia Diabetes Care. "As Ascensia Diabetes Care we will build on our legacy in this market and continue to be a trustworthy provider of reliable, high-performance solutions that could make a positive, daily difference for people with diabetes."
"The ATTD conference provides the perfect opportunity to showcase our current products and future development programme. The data that we are presenting demonstrates that we are at the forefront of innovation in diabetes care and will show how we will be introducing new technologies that may enhance the lives of patients living with diabetes," added Michael Kloss.
Ascensia Diabetes Care will be presenting key findings from research into innovative diabetes care solutions for patients. Posters and presentations will highlight compelling data from blood glucose monitoring systems, both launched and in development, including a wireless-enabled blood glucose meter that links to a smart mobile device via Bluetooth® technology.
